WDZ TF2 Server Rules
    • Rule (Consequence for Breaking Rule if a Warning is not Sufficient on First Offense)
      • Description of Rule
    • No Hacks/Mods (Permanent Ban)
      • Includes but is not limited to wall hacks, speed hacks, aim bots, and automatic criticals.
    • Do not Threaten to Hack the Server (Permanent Ban)
      • All threats are taken very seriously.
    • No Exploiting (Extended or Permanent Ban)
      • Includes but is not limited to weapon glitches, map glitches, and other item glitches.
    • No Harassment/Disrespect towards players (Mute/Gag/Silence, Extended/Permanent Ban)
      • If you get mad at someone then a simple rude comment is fine. However, do not constantly flame other players.
      • Do not try to verbally bully other people. It is okay for other players to not do/act the way you think they should, both in game and in their personal life. You do not need make fun of them nor force them to do anything.
      • Do not intentionally ruin the game experience for players on your team such as blocking friendly snipers’ scopes.
      • Do not sexually harass players. The women do not like it!
    • No Derogatory Language, Racism, or Sexism (Mute/Gag/Silence, Extended/Permanent Ban)
      • Do not use any terms that are hateful towards a specific group of people such as blacks, Jews, woman, homosexuals, etc.
      • Profanity is permitted. However, refrain from excessive use.
    • No Mic/Chat Spam (Mute/Gag/Silence on first offense. Multiple offenses will result in an Extended/Permanent Ban)
      • Do not broadcast music, pre-recorded sounds, or other non-verbal sounds.
      • Do not flood the chat box for any reason.
      • Do not spam links, websites, or server IP addresses.
    • No Trade Spam / Abuse (Mute/Gag/Silence. Multiple offenses will result in an Extended/Permanent Ban)
      • Asking for trade once every 10-15 minutes is more than enough.
      • Please refrain from randomly proposing trades with people.
      • If you want to scam players in trades then go to some other server. Do not do so on ours.
      • If trading is taking you more than 1-2 minutes, then move to spectator. Be mindful when you are holding a server slot on a full server.
    • No Excessive Trolling (Mute/Gag/Silence, Kick, Ban)
      • A good joke is ok, but refrain from repetitively angering others.
      • An admin's decision of whether trolling is excessive or not is final.
    • No Excessive Voting (Kick)
      • Please refrain from attempting unnecessary or excessive votes during a game (scrambling teams when teams have already been scrambled or are going to be scrambled or resetting the map unnecessarily).
    • No Obscene Sprays (Removal of Spray, Kick, Ban)
      • If it is NSFW, then don’t put it on our server.
      • General rule: if you wouldn't want your grandmother to see it, don't post it.
      • If you aren’t sure about your spray, then ask an admin.
    • Do Not Disclose Personal Identification, Private, or Non-Public Information (Mute/Gag/Silence)
      • Do not disclose personal information (your own or another's) that is susceptible to identity theft, financial theft, or harassment, including (but not limited to) home addresses, phone numbers, passwords, credit card numbers, and Social Security numbers.
      • WDZ administrators will never formally request any identification information for any reason.
    • Do Not Impersonate Administrators (Automatic Name Change, Kick, Permanent Ban)
      • Do not change your name to an admin’s name and pretend to be them.
      • Do not pretend to have any admin access.
      • Do not say that because you are friends with the admins you can "get" people banned.
      • Do not threaten or claim immunity because you "know the head admin." "Trust us. We know him very well. Maybe too well..."
    Our ban system is similar to the 3 strikes system in that the first offense (other than hacks) will be taken lightly and be given a verbal warning and and if the problem continues to be persistent then the player will either be muted, silenced or kicked. Any subsequent problems coming from the same player will be treated harsher and possibly be given anywhere between an hour ban to permanent (depending on the offense). If there is a history of bans regarding the offending player then the player may risk being permanently banned.

    Misconduct can be reported to any WDZ server administrator or community administrator via Steam private message or forums (preferably the former).

    Players violating any of the above rules will be promptly warned unless otherwise noted. Any further misconduct can and will result in a kick or temporary ban. A notorious record of repeated misconduct can and will result in a permanent ban, subject to prior admin discussion and discretion.


    **Please note that all our bans are discretionary to the admin online. We place our trust in the people who help manage our TF2 servers, but if you feel that your ban isn't appropriate for your offense or an admin is abusing his/her powers then please Private message a Community admin of the issue either through the forums or Steam.**

    Permitted Actions and Other Warnings:
    • Spawn Camping
    • Trick sprays (such as a rotating sentry or sniper decoy)
    • Be careful of being Idle or AFK ("away from keyboard")
      • If the server is full, idle players may be kicked by either console or an admin to open up slots.
    • If a server has substantial lag problems and needs resetting, contact an admin by Steam message or post about it on the forums. An admin will see to the problem as soon as possible.
    • Be aware that our community base supports a generally unregulated age range, including both minors and adults.
      • We encourage both common courtesy and discretion in social interactions, with respect to the "no harassment" and "no derogatory language" rules.
    • Any admin abuse can and must be reported to us on our forums.
    • Any ban complaints, ban protests, or ban suggestions can be brought to our attention on our forums.
