I play a lot of Engie, Medic, and Spy, and a little bit of Pyro, Scout, and Demo. But my best class by far is Engie. I like to defend points and intel when I believe it's necessary. Of course, engie offense is also fun. At this point, I've become so used to spies, demos, and ubers. What's your class? And preferrably, the reason why?
I usually play to fill the gaps in class choice for my team when I play, so I've gotten really good at all classes.
I'm the bestest demoknight ever (not really) but it is my best class.... and I don't really know if I should click on Demoman or not since Demoknight is not a demoman..
i guess you could say my best is pyro, but my first best was sniper. however i don't play competitively enough to have a best or worst, though spy is my obvious worst. im usually too busy dicking around to be stellar with anything
Soldier! I love soldier so much, in an unexplainable way, it has an infinitely high skill ceiling, with a very gradual learning curve. You can be making frags first time you play it, and you can be doing really impressive things after years of playing. Demoman is very similar in this respect, but I don't enjoy playing it as much.
My best class is probably soldier because I play it the most. It is very well rounded and there aren't many situations where you wouldn't want to be soldier. I laugh at people who go spy to take down engi buildings. It is much easier and faster as soldier. I only play pl_2fort and I don't think there is anywhere engis can build that is safe from me I used to always play heavy until my right clicked started to not work right. I can still dominate any spy while playing heavy. I love pretending like I didn't see a spy behind me so he goes in for the kill and then I jump and turn at the last second. I don't understand why you guys fear rawberry and blood e balls so much, or any spy for that matter.
My top 3 has to be Pyro > Demoknight > Soldier. Even though Pyro is my favorite class (with all the backburning/w+m1, puff & stinging) the Demoknight is very high and tied with my number 1 because of how useful the chargin' targe is (ranking up so many heads with the sword as well). And of course, gotta love to be playing the Soldier and I agree with SuperRAWR's post above indicating the class's advantages
For me my best class is probably engineer, although this is to be honest the hardest class to be bad at At the moment I am really working on pyro and sniper and have just started demo knighting it up. In general i will play all classes, my least favorite being solly.
My favs are Pyro, Medic, and Sniper. Lately I've been playing demo, but I still think I suck at it. I NEVER play scout, because I suck so bad at that too. Never play engie either. I like defending the intel/base. Every once in a while I enjoy going battlemedic, where people get raped I'm alright with spy, still working on it.
Soldier reporting for duty! Been playing him for over 10 years since the days of TFC. He has no glaring weakness, can get frags, and no other class is better for defending a pocket medic. Like Super said, he is easy to get into, but with practice you can do absolutely amazing things. Nothing better than bouncing a charging demo then triple airshotting him
Like hippo I pick any class that is most needed at the time. I'm not going to be a demo with 4 other demo knights on the same team. However I can say that I am a sub-mediocre sniper and I'm too impatient as a spy. My best are tied with medic and demo. Medic, because unlike most medics, I know how to properly heal my entire team and know which ones to heal first and so on. Finding a good medic is harder than finding someone with an unusual hat and that's why I choose to play medic and carry the responsibility of keeping my team alive as much as I can. I'll never forget back in my xbox days when I played medic and my team owned our opponents in a total massacre. After the game i got a voice message from one of my allies saying "HOLY SHIT, you're the only medic I've ever seen that knows how to heal more than just our heavies let alone use an uber. Dude we can rape if you join our clan." and so I did for a while and yes, we did inappropriately assault our enemies Also Demo, because I know that vanilla is the ONLY way to benefit your team and that sticky placement should take priority over nade spam.
Probably Battle Engi, Heavy, then Soldier. I've always loved playing a utility class supporting groups of people. Once the update came out the Engi rapidly became my favorite. I lvoe the ability to throw down mini's pretty much at will. I try to play outside the box in most cases. I almost said heavy was my favorite with the new Tomi. His mobility is pretty win now. You can actually juke / jump and open fire again. It just give the heavy a new onion layer and makes him interesting again. Soldier bounces in and out of my favorite class pretty often. I completly agree with Slats for the same reasons. Very well rounded class useful in pretty much all situations. I also dabble in the medic, demo, and sniper. I rarely play the scout or spy.
Pyro for me, if only for my knack at being an unorthodox, suicidal nutcase with a dash of competence.
