No, people can create their own teams. I'm going to start a starting system 2 weeks before the event for people that want to participate, but need a team, or teams that want more players.

Awesome to see that some teams are being formed! Keep in mind, with the current scoring system, teaming up with other teams against a single team will no longer benefit anyone! This should prevent alliances, hopefully.
