Resolved " Username not verified"

    I tried logging in today and when ever i tried to i got a message saying, "Disconnected from server
    Username not Verified"

    Can you help me resolve this problem as soon as possible please.

    I don't know if this would mean anything, but are you using a pirated version of Minecraft?

    Other then that, i have no idea.

    A lot of people are getting that message. It probably has to do with the leap second thing. Java didn't handle adding an extra second to its worldclock well, might be on hiatus for a few hours, maybe a day, could be back up... I can't say for sure from where I am. Lead was having the same problem.

    Im using Spoutcraft and this is the first time this has happened to me before. I dont know what happened. I tried deleting the Spout data files and re-download them but it still doesnt work.

    Ahh. I've never heard of this issue before. Maybe try again in an hour or so and see if it works.

    I really can't give better answers than what I have, because my internet is not currently stable enough to support me coming online; I was just relaying that someone else had the problem, and had done some research on it. Sorry dude.

    The servers have been back up (partially) since about 5PM Eastern. If it gives you the error message, try again. When ALL the servers were down the client simply froze. But, rest assured, if you try enough, you will now be able to log in.

    What a weekend. With the big storm taking out the largest cloud network on the internet on friday, and the leap second fiasco (travelling back in time with a busy database is not fun, even for a second), it's been a crazy weekend for system admins across the globe. Luckily, it didn't affect us directly.

    I looked on twitter and notch said that the web guys are on to it. I have this problem too and lots of people on twitter do aswell. May seem irrelevant, but Jeb said that theyre working on minecraft 1.3 and it'll be released on August 1, with pre-releases leading up to it
